Jesus predicts the destruction of the temple (Matthew 24.1-2, 13.1-2 Mr. )
21:5 And as some spoke of the temple was adorned with goodly stones and gifts Votive said
21:6 As for these things to see, day will come when no stone will remain unturned, which is not destroyed.

21:7 And they asked him, "Teacher, when will it? So what will be the sign when these things are about to happen?
21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name saying I am Christ, and: The time is near. But do not go after them.
21:9 And when you hear of wars and commotions, be not alarmed, because these things need to happen first, but the end will not come immediately.
21:10 Then they said, will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom
21:11 There will be great earthquakes and in various places famines and pestilences, and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.
21:12 But before all these things shall lay their hands, and persecute you, and will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, being brought before kings and governors because of my name.
21:13 And this will be an opportunity to testify. 21:14
Propose in your hearts not to meditate before what ye shall answer in your defense;
21:15 For I will give you utterance and wisdom which can not withstand or contradict those who oppose it.
21:16 And ye shall be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives, and friends and kill some of you
21:17 and everyone will hate you because of my name.
21:18 But not a hair of your head will perish. 21:19
your patience possess your souls. 21:20 But
when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
21:21 Then those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and in the midst of it depart, and those who are in the country not enter therein.
21:22 For these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all things which are written.
21:23 But woe to those who are pregnant, and that give suck in those days! there shall be great distress upon the land and wrath upon this people.
21:24 And they shall fall by the sword, and be led captive into all nations: and Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
