VIII Meet the Puppet
by World Puppet Day
9 years ago instituted the World Day of Puppetry, since March 21 is a day to celebrate and acknowledge the presence and existence of these wonderful beings.
In Lima Anaracos Puppeteers Collective with the support of the Association of Amateur Artists, Kusi Kusi Group, the Peruvian-Japanese Cultural Center and the Centro Cultural El Averno undertake the eighth version of "Meet the Puppets" for the World Day Puppet 2011 with a series of activities aimed at promoting a meeting of Puppets with the public, with the beginner in this art and the puppeteers themselves making a space for celebration, pedagogy and reflection.
With the realization that our art is not worth even just right, there is great ignorance around him, and taking place under extremely difficult in an environment not conducive to art, but despite that is done, is done with enthusiasm and conviction, with the security to be contributing to building a better world from our position as artists.
celebrate World Puppet Day sharing with the public various manifestations of this art to consolidate the presence of the Puppets in Peruvian society and the validity and necessity of team work around him.
