In late 2007, the remodeling that the City held at the Great Park, cleaned some graffiti on the monument and restored the centaur bronze model instead of the original stone.

The memorial features a bronze bust of an approximate height of 1 meter dedicated to the writer on a prismatic pedestal eight feet in whose base is a small fountain with a bowl.
was initially placed in 1928 but after being stolen in 1934, there was a reproduction of it by the author who donated to the City. The bust is a realistic reflecting faithfully the features of the writer, represented jacket, waistcoat and his trademark mustache.

Eusebio Blasco Soler (Zaragoza 1844-Madrid 1903) was a journalist and playwright. Their fertility as playwright made him the leading supplier of comic pieces for the curious phenomenon of "theater for hours" was born in Madrid in the late sixties.
