Speaker: Jo Salas
Jo Salas is the co-founder of Playback Theatre and artistic director of the Company Hudson River Playback Theatre in the state of New York. Playback has taught in 20 countries and is a member of the choir school of Playback Theatre Center. His speech was relevant for Playback Theatre Academic Symposium on the Univerdidad of Kassel, Germany, and University of Arizona. The literature on Playback Theatre by Jo Salas include numerous articles and two books: Improvising Life Real : Personal Stories Playback Theatre, published in seven languages \u200b\u200bincluding English, and Make my Story, Sing My Song: Music therapy and Playback Theatre with troubled children. In addition, he edited the bilingual publication Half of My Heart: True stories told by immigrants.

Description: This workshop for new and experienced drivers will explore the story arc and the arc of the function, from the point of view of the driver - how to drive the story of a narrator with grace and economy , and how to make any function of Playback an inspiring event, satisfactory and fully inclusive. Sufficient time will be to count and represent stories, with accompanying action and music as well as driving. The workshop is open to people who already know the Playback Theatre and are interested in learning more about driving. Drivers experienced will have the opportunity to explore the challenges and questions that arise in their work as drivers.
Max participants: 20.

Professor: Jo Salas
Jo Salas is the co-founder of Playback Theatre and the artistic director of Hudson River Playback Theatre in New York State . She has taught Playback Theatre in 20 countries and is a core faculty member of the Centre for Playback Theatre. She was a keynote speaker at academic symposiums on Playback Theatre held at the University of Kassel, Germany, and Arizona State University .
Jo Salas¹s publications about Playback Theatre include numerous articles and two books: Improvising Real Life: Personal Story in Playback Theatre, now published in seven languages including English; and Do My Story, Sing My Song: Music therapy and Playback Theatre with troubled children. Description : This workshop for new and experienced conductors will explore the arc of a story and the arc of a show, from the conductor's standpoint--how to conduct a teller's story gracefully and economically, and how to make any Playback performance an inspiring, satisfying, and fully inclusive event. There will be lots of time to tell and enact stories, with some coaching on acting and music as well as conducting. The workshop is open to people who already know Playback Theater and are interested in learning more about conducting. Experienced conductors will have a chance to explore challenges and questions that have come up in your work.
Maximum participants : 20.
